| This web site was constructed by Grade 4, 5, and 6 students at Eastern Kings Consolidated School and the Eastern Kings C@P Site. The Grade 4, 5 and 6 class worked very hard on this project and have learned a great deal from it. They were able to learn how to use some of the technology available at the school, such as the scanner, digital cameras, tape recorders, and to extend their word processing skills. They conducted and wrote the senior interviews as well as aided in creating the webpage. Students were able to learn what school was like in different parts of eastern P.E.I. before consolidation and how education has changed as a result.The students enjoyed interviewing the seniors and this allowed them to connect with an older generation that they may not otherwise connect with. This project was a positive experience for everyone involved and something the school wished to continue in the future. All of the accounts were personal accounts from the participants in the project. The school was not responsible for any inaccuracies in the information presented. At the site launch, it was suggested that any questions, concerns, or comments be directed to the school. This site was last updated on May 17, 2005. With the closure of Eastern Kings School in June 2009, the material from the original site was transferred to ekpei.ca.
