The Eastern Kings Chapter of the Hospice Palliative Care Association of P.E.I. is an important group within the Eastern Kings Community. The volunteers provide much support to families throughout the region.

On February 7, 2010, a largely attended fundraiser was held at St. Mary's Church in Souris.

ekpei.ca was invited to attend to photograph and video the event for those who were unable to attend.
